Terms of Service
Last updated: May 14, 2026
1. Eligibility
AskJunie is intended solely for adults. To create or hold an account you must be at least 18 years old and the parent or legal guardian of any child you describe in the account. By creating an account you confirm both.
2. No accounts for children
AskJunie is not directed to children under 13 and is not designed for use by children. Children may not create accounts, sign in, or interact with the Service directly. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has been given access to the Service, contact us so we can remove the account and any associated data.
3. Parent responsibility
You decide what to share with AskJunie about your child. Please share only what is necessary to receive coaching guidance. Avoid including identifying details (full name, address, school, photos, government identifiers) or sensitive medical records you do not want processed by an AI service. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you enter and for any decisions you make based on the Service's output.
4. Not medical or clinical advice
AskJunie is a parenting coaching tool for general wellness only. It does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, or other professional clinical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified professional for questions about your child's health, development, or safety.
In an emergency, call 911. Poison Control: 1-800-222-1222. Mental health crisis: 988.
5. AI processing
To generate coaching responses, the messages and child context you provide are sent to a third-party AI provider (Anthropic). Do not include information you would not want shared with a third-party processor. We do not sell your data and do not use it to train external AI models.
6. Account termination and data deletion
You may delete your account and the associated child profiles at any time from the Profile page. Deletion removes your child profiles, sessions, and messages from the active database. Backups are purged on a rolling schedule.
7. Acceptable use
Do not use the Service to harass others, to attempt to identify or contact other users, to reverse-engineer the Service, or in any way that violates applicable law. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the email associated with your account or via an in-app notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
9. Intellectual property and references
AskJunie's coaching responses draw on publicly available parenting frameworks and methodologies. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or in partnership with the authors or publishers of any referenced works. The names of parenting approaches referenced in this app (including but not limited to Whole Brain Child, Positive Discipline, Gentle Parenting, Montessori, and RIE) are used descriptively to indicate the philosophical basis of advice generated. No endorsement by the creators of these frameworks is implied or claimed.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which AskJunie is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Questions about these terms can be sent to legal@askjunie.com.
